Personal favourite: The Red Dress

As a photographer, I’m always on the look out for a nice contrast of colours and this image, taken at Janna and David’s wedding earlier this year, perfectly illustrates how photographers are drawn to colours.

There’s very little happening in this shot, but there is something about the simplicity that makes me appreciate this.

This shot was taken while I was replacing a battery in my camera, shortly after the ceremony. As I knelt down to change the battery, I looked ahead and saw the scene in front of me and thought “that’s a nice combination of colours” and took the photo.
