The Finishing Touches

When it came to updating my website a few weeks ago, I found myself going through my archives searching for the strongest images I had taken over the last year.

While going through Becky and Mark’s wedding, this shot of Becky applying some finishing touches, instantly jumped out at me. I’d actually go as far as saying it’s possibly my favourite shot from the wedding.

With it’s strong composition, complimented with some natural light and of course, Becky looking stunning – it was only when I looked closely at the image, that I realised how incredibly crisp and sharp it is.

I took this shot on my Fuji X-Pro 1, using the 35mm f1.4 lens – not a camera I would consider an essential piece of kit at the time. But looking at it now, it made me realise that the Fuji X-Mount kits are really a force to be reckoned with. This shot was straight from the camera as a jpg – so no RAW this time.

On the back of this, I’ve since invested in a Fuji X-T1.
