Vicky and Pete’s wedding at Stoke Newington Town Hall
A north London wedding with the celebrations taking place at the Londesborough Pub.
Initially, I was a bit nervous – mostly because of the location. Having lived in south London for all my life, I know how unreliable the trains can be at weekends. So I ended up leaving my home super early, and got there with several hours to spare. I used the time wisely by having some much needed breakfast, while watching a bit of Mad Max on my phone (it’s the only film I had on there at the time!)
My coverage started just before the ceremony, just outside of the Stoke Newington Town Hall – a breathtaking location, which made for a stunning backdrop. As per usual, I mulled about taking images of their guests as they arrived.
The most epic of confetti shots
Everyone then proceeded indoors for the ceremony, which was a lovely. I don’t mean to go on about the Town Hall, but the wooden finish and natural light in the ceremony room made such a wonderful backdrop, it was an absolute pleasure to capture everything as it unfolded. Vicky and Pete were clearly having a great time, and were accompanied by their daughter for the whole ceremony.
After the ceremony, everyone headed outside – naturally, this is where we did the confetti shot and what an epic confetti shot it was.
Reception at the Londesborough Pub
Everyone then proceeded to the Londesborough Pub down Barbauld Rd, just round the corner.
We took a couple of group shots outside and then I spent the rest of my day documenting everything as it happened, including their first dance. Should the photos leave you in any doubt, they were dancing to Kate Bush’s Wuthering Heights. Epic!
Anyhow, it was a wonderful day with Vicky and Pete being one of the most laid back couples I’ve worked for. An absolute belter of a wedding.
