Sarah and Paul’s wedding day at Camden Place

Getting ready

I was looking forward to Sarah and Paul’s wedding as soon as they booked me. For starters, not only did they strike me as a pretty awesome couple, but I had never photographed a wedding at Camden Place in Chislehurst, Bromley before.

Secondly, as soon as I met them, I was delighted to learn that for the most part, aside from a handful of group portraits, they wanted their wedding photos to be as natural as possible. As a photographer that aims to document a wedding day and not direct it, this was music to my ears.

My coverage started in the morning, capturing images of Sarah and her bridesmaids getting ready. While everything was a little frantic, there were some great moments to be captured here, with this photograph of Sarah’s family seeing her for the first time in her wedding dress.

At Camden Place, Chislehurst

As always, once I arrived at the venue, it was straight to work with photographing the ceremony. A stunning room with plenty of light, the ceremony was relaxed and fun.

I have to say it was an absolute pleasure working at Camden Place; the staff were incredibly helpful. And Graham Beacon the toastmaster did an excellent job of keeping the proceedings organised.

Located within Chislehurst golf club, there was no shortage of backdrops to work with, so I took advantage of the landscapes of the golf course outside for the portraits.

Live music and celebrations!

For the evening celebrations, Sarah and Paul hired singer Santino Fabricatore who entertained the guests with a number of tracks from the 50s and 60s. It was a lot of fun photographing everyone having a boogie to some live music.

Overall, it was a great day and a really treat to photograph. Below is a selection of my favourite shots.
