Laura and Ivan’s wedding in the Surrey Hills

So spring came and went, and along with it came Laura and Ivan’s wedding in the Surrey Hills.

I was looking forward to Laura and Ivan’s wedding, mainly because a few weeks prior to their day I had purchased a Fujifilm GFX50R and their day was my first wedding with this new camera.

An absolutely fantastic day, my coverage started from the ceremony at St Barnabas Church in Ranmore, a stunning wooded area on the outskirts of Dorking.

As I arrived, I drove past a lovely little spot that featured an abundance of bluebells and made a mental note to take the Laura and Ivan after the ceremony (see pics below).

The ceremony was easily one of the most fun that I’ve ever had to photograph, mainly because Laura was full of expressions during the proceedings. It was also a treat to hear their friends play Dolly Parton’s 9 To 5 on acoustic guitar, which sounded very awesome.

After the ceremony and a few shots of the happy couple (Laura’s make up by Amberfied Makeup), my coverage continued to their reception at the town hall in Holmbury St Mary.

There I captured a few moments of their guests enjoying themselves, followed by a few more shots of the couple within the ‘bar in a vintage bus” they hired from the Tiger Lily Bus Company.
