Johanna and David wedding at Westmead Events, Surrey
Morning at Chipstead
Taking place in what was probably the hottest day of the year, Johanna and David’s wedding was a terrific day and an absolute delight to photograph.
I started my day at Johanna’s parents, documenting the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready for the big day, capturing the moments and the details as they all happened.
The Ceremony at St Margarets
The ceremony took place at St Margarets in Chipstead. It’s a stunning little church, one which I driven past on several occasions and thought to myself “I’d love to shoot a wedding there”.
A lovely ceremony, it was quite clear from the start that Johanna and David were not going to get through the whole ceremony without the cracking odd joke here and there.
Reception at Westmead Events
Shortly after the ceremony, the couple and their guests all headed to Westmead Events for the celebrations. A fantastic location just outside of RedHill, perfect for custom wedding receptions.
What with it being in the middle of the Summer heatwave, it was probably a good thing that Johanna and David had hired both a Prosecco van and an ice cream van!
The much needed shade was provided by My Tippi Events, where all the guests tucked into their delicious meals which were provided by Scotts of Carshalton.
After the meal and speeches, Johanna and David cut their cake and then had their first dance.
All in all, it was a brilliant wedding. A very hot one, where I am certain I lost several stone due to the heat! But a fantastic day which lead to some photos that I am very proud of!
